AGNIS – Wicked Witch

AGNIS is a Polish dark pop solo project from Agnieszka Leśna, released through darkTunes Music Group. “Wicked Witch” is a standalone single released November 21, 2025, and was submitted for Polish pre-selection for Eurovision 2026.

We generally raise an eyebrow at the term witchpop. It tends to arrive pre-packaged with a mood board, but this track earns the framing. The seduction-and-danger dynamic is handled with enough restraint that it lands as atmosphere rather than cosplay.

The chorus is the obvious anchor. It is genuinely infectious and structured well enough to hold up across repeated listens. AGNIS’s vocals are precise and confident throughout, which is consistent with her previous releases. The production keeps things varied without overcomplicating them, a quality that is harder to pull off in this genre than it looks.

Thematically the track sits on familiar ground: temptation, danger, the figure who refuses to be controlled. The lyric “Don’t try to tame me” does the work it is supposed to do. Nothing here reinvents the form, but it does not need to. It is a well-executed single from an artist who knows her lane.
