Vandal Moon – Money Dance

Vandal Moon – Money Dance

Vandal Moon is a California duo consisting of Blake Voss and Jeremy Einsiedler, self-released. “Money Dance” is the third single from their upcoming album “DIE HAPPY,” released November 11, 2025.

The band’s press statement on the track is worth noting: we are all fighting for scraps, the money is fake, keep music evil, let’s dance. It is a reasonable summary of what the song does. The thematic content is blunt and the production matches it.

The bassline is the first thing that lands and the best thing about the track. The sound design across the bassline, the string elements, and the leads carries an unmistakable early 80s character. This does not feel like a band approximating that era from a distance. It feels genuinely rooted there.

The vocal hook, “I need money, we need money,” repeats across large portions of the track and becomes quite the earmworm. That kind of infectious repetition is harder to pull off than it looks, and Vandal Moon handle it without it becoming grating.

A strong single from a project with a clear sense of what it wants to be.
