Madeline Goldstein is a Los Angeles based artist releasing on Artoffact Records. “My Own Design” is the third single from her upcoming full-length “Speaking to the Body,” due in early 2026. Produced and mixed by Matia Simovich at Infinite Power Studios and mastered by Josh Bonati.

The song opens with a strong, energetic bassline that sets the tone immediately. An arp pattern follows that feels strangely familiar, the kind of sound that sits at the edge of recognition without quite landing on its source. It is driving us mad trying to place exactly which other recent track used something so similar. If you figure it out, let us know.

Goldstein’s vocals are top notch throughout. Precise, controlled, and confident above the instrumentation. The combination of the driving bassline, the arp, and her vocal direction makes the song both danceable and genuinely dark. That balance is what she does well and “My Own Design” is one of her stronger examples of it.

Lyrically the track appears to tackle issues relating to anxiety and panic. The production earns that framing. The song feels measured and feverish in equal measure, obsession and repetition built into the construction itself.
