hinfort – of letting go

hinfort is a solo project out of Cologne, founded in late 2024 and released on Young & Cold Records. The project has been building a catalog at a notable pace without any apparent drop in quality.

“of letting go” is the latest evidence of that. The track is built around synthesized pads and hinfort’s distinctively deep voice, a combination that works well and has become something of a signature. The vocals sit comfortably in the mix without overreaching, and the pads provide exactly the kind of atmosphere the song needs.

What stands out here is how naturally the track sits outside of any specific era. It would not sound out of place on an 80s post-punk compilation, nor would it feel dated alongside contemporary releases. That kind of timelessness is not easy to manufacture and tends to be the mark of a project that understands its influences without being consumed by them.

hinfort continues to be one of the more quietly consistent projects in the scene right now.
