hinfort – alive

hinfort is a solo project out of Cologne, founded in late 2024 and already making a case for itself. “alive” is the latest evidence.

The baritone vocal is the immediate entry point and remains the throughline. Cold bass riffs and a melancholic delivery that doesn’t oversell itself. Previous hinfort material has leaned guitar-forward; “alive” introduces haunting synth lines that sit alongside rather than replace what was already working. The addition earns its place.

This is a project worth tracking. The sound design is considered, the emotional register is consistent, and the songwriting is getting sharper with each release.

Cologne has always produced good dark music and hinfort is continuing with this tradition.
