Best Darkwave Releases of April 2026
April delivered. Here are the five tracks that stayed on repeat.
5. CZARINA — Holy Water
The vocals of CZARINA are absolutely extraordinary and the piano work within the song makes for a deeply memorable track.
4. Paradox Obscur — Exorcism
Such a beautiful bassline from Paradox Obscur. Coupled with the kick drum and the vocal styling, the song achieves a dark, aggressive, and haunting feel. From the Tundra Voices album.
3. The Spoiled — Watch Me Bleed
Antoher great release from The Spoiled. Dark and brooding vocals coupled with detuned synths make this a haunting standout. From the When It Rains LP.
2. Hallows — This Love
The sound design work here from Hallows is incredible, with a synth selection that offers slight retro nostalgia without leaning on it. The vocals are absolutely beautiful.
1. SDH — Dawn Fawn
The vocals, the bassline, the energy. Such a brilliant track from SHD and one we hope to hear in the clubs for the foreseeable future. From the Rider album on Artoffact Records.
